How we collect, use, store and protect your information — and the rights you have over it.

We collect the information we need to decide whether we can factor your invoices, and to run the facility if we do. We check it with credit bureaux and with your customers, because that is how factoring works. We do not sell it. You can ask us what we hold and ask us to correct it.
Capital Chambers Group (“CCG”, “we”, “us”) provides invoice factoring and receivables finance to businesses in Botswana. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act, 2018, we are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

If you apply for a facility, we collect considerably more:
A note on director information. Because we require personal surety, we collect and check personal data about named individuals, not only company data. We ask for your explicit consent before doing so, and we only ask for what the decision actually requires.

This one deserves stating plainly, because it surprises people. Factoring involves us dealing directly with the businesses that owe you money. Depending on the arrangement, we may:
We ask for your consent to this as part of the application. If discretion matters to your commercial relationships, tell us early and we will discuss the options before anything is sent.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Some of the services we use store data on servers outside Botswana. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider offers appropriate protection. If you would like to know where a specific category of your information is held, ask us and we will tell you.

Withdrawing consent for credit checks or customer verification is your right, but it will usually mean we cannot proceed with or continue a facility — those checks are how factoring is underwritten.
We use reputable providers with encryption in transit and at rest, restrict access to those who need it, and require confidentiality from anyone handling your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider collects basic, aggregated traffic statistics that do not identify you individually.
We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be notified directly.
